Mark Harmon has been rumored retiring from Hollywood for years. Now, a new rumor indicated that the NCIS actor contemplates retiring and plans to move to his ranch in Montana along with his wife, Pam Dawber.

According to Star, Harmon has gotten tired of his life in Hollywood and is ready to retire from acting. He allegedly planning to spend his retirement at his Montana ranch with his wife.

"He's tired of the traffic and the crowds. He loves being surrounded by nature and seeing the stars at night. It's getting to the point where he just wants to be on the ranch," a source of the tabloid claimed.

It noted that Harmon and Dawber are both very private about their lives. The couple rarely attends Hollywood events and would rather spend time at home. It added that since the production of NCIS became uncertain due to coronavirus, it presented an opportunity for Harmon to step back.

It is true that the couple is also extremely private about their life. It could also be true that staying at home during the current pandemic wasn't an issue for Harmon and Dawber as they are both home buddies.

However, it is not true that The West Wing actor is thinking about retiring from acting and moving to Montana. NCIS Season 17 has been cut short after its production was halted due to the pandemic but the series was not canceled.

In fact, the hit CBS series NCIS has just been renewed for another season, so as its two spinoffs: NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans. Harmon stars in NCIS and served as executive producer of the show and NCIS: NOLA.

Moreover, the Freaky Friday actor also signed a new deal with CBS. This only means that he is returning for NCIS Season 18.

Gossip Cop noted that Harmon was also rumored to leave NCIS last year because of two different reasons. Back in May 2019, the same tabloid claimed Dawber demanded Harmon to quit NCIS. It alleged that the actor's busy roles as the star and executive producer of the series have resulted in him neglecting his wife and their two sons.

Before that, the Globe reported that the actor was exiting the show amidst feuds with the series cast and crew. The tabloid cited a source as saying Harmon won't be missed at NCIS set as he has a reputation of the "meanest man on TV." Harmon allegedly sparked conflicts among his co-workers. Both rumors had been debunked by Gossip Cop.
