After Piers Morgan admitted he took things too far with his criticisms of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Andy Cohen revealed the question he would ask the Sussexes if he had the chance. A lot of television shows wanted to have an interview with the controversial couple. If this happens, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen is ready for it.

Andy Cohen wanted to know if Meghan Markle already planned to step down as a senior member of the royal family even before their royal weddding in 2018. Long before they dropped their bombshell announcement in January, there were rumors that the former actress and Prince Harry might quit the monarchy.

"Did you know going into it that you were going to make a break?" the radio and television host's question to the pair, Daily Mail noted. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex surprised everyone when they decided to step back from their royal roles.

After announcing their plan, the sixth in line to the throne admitted that it was with "great sadness" that hey had to leave the royal family at a charity dinner for Sentebale in Chelsea, London, in January. He said they were left with "no other option" after years of experiencing intense media scrutiny.

Prince Harry explained that when they got married, they were both hopeful and promised to serve. Hence, it gave him great sadness that everything turned out this way.

He added that their decision was never "made lightly." It involved many months of talks after all the challenges they had been through. Although he knew that he didn't always get things right, there was no other option left for them.

Andy Cohen's question came after Piers Morgan admitted that he had "taken things too far" with Meghan Markle. From banning the former actress from appearing on Good Morning Britain to calling her a "whinny little brat," he had said a lot of things to insult her, Metro Online noted.

He also accused the two of showing a "staggering disrespect" to Queen Elizabeth II when they decided to leave the United Kingdom. Anyhow, he denied the reports that his criticisms against the former Suits  star were fueled by "racism and sexism."

Now, he seemed to have a change of heart when he confessed that he had taken things too personally. So, he revealed that he would "govern and temper" how he would talk about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from this day on.
