Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are making a fresh start after officially stepping down as senior royal on March 31. The couple is building a new team as they transition to their new lives in Hollywood.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex already switched their communication team from Buckingham Palace's aides to PR experts at Sunshine Sachs. Now, a new report claims that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are recruiting David and Victoria Beckham’s Hollywood adviser to add to their team.

"Rebecca is extremely discreet, diligent, and professional and has been around high-end celebrities for decades,” a source told The Sun. “She’s exactly what Harry and Meghan were looking for and came highly recommended… Rebecca has her work cut out. But then, working with Prince can’t have been a walk in the park."

A previous report claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle let all 15 members of their UK staff go. The move sparked speculations at the time that they will never return to the UK.

“Given their decision to step back, an office at Buckingham Palace is no longer needed,” the source said. "While the details are still being finalized and efforts are being made to redeploy people within the royal household, unfortunately, there will be some redundancies.”

The couple's newly appointed private secretary Fiona Mcilwham, communications chief Sara Latham, Prince Harry’s program co-ordinator Clara Loughran, and assistant communications secretary Marnie Gaffney are few of those who are believed to have been let go by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“The Duke and Duchess have a small team, less than 15 people,” the insider added. “The team are very loyal to the Sussexes and understands and respects the decision they have taken. They are all close and supporting each other. The team are busy helping to set their Royal Highnesses up for the future and working on a series of final engagements.”

Another report then revealed that some staff wants to continue serving the couple because of their love for Prince Harry. But Meghan Markle, reportedly, told them that they are “moving on.”

“It seems the final nail has been hammered in the separation of Prince Harry and his family thanks to the dismissals of their 15 staff members from the royal household who have been told they are ‘no longer required,’” UK-based broadcaster Neil Sean said. “I have been told quite a few staff members had hoped or offered to transfer over to Canada to continue a working relationship [because of] the fact they all loved [her husband] Prince Harry and working for him.”
