Claire was abducted and abused in the Outlander Season 5 finale. Fans of the Outlander book series were surprised by it since this storyline was in Diana Gabaldon's sixth book, A Breath of Snow and Ashes, not in The Fiery Cross.

Now, some fans are wondering what else they could expect in the upcoming Outlander Season 6. Here are some of the important stories and characters that fans may expect to watch in the sixth season if the TV adaptation will stick to Gabaldon's book version.

The Christie Family

In the book, Claire's (Caitriona Balfe) medical assistant is Malva Christie (not Marsali). How she and the rest of her family will be introduced in Season 6 is something interesting to see.

The Christie family has a complicated relationship. Malva's father is Tom Christie but in reality, he is her uncle. Her real father is Tom's brother, and his son, Allan, is Malva's half-brother.

Allan has been raping Malva for years and he is the father of her unborn child. Malva, however, will claim that Jamie (Sam Heughan) is the father of her unborn child.

When Malva gets murdered, Claire and Jamie will be charged for it. Tom will, later on, claim that he murdered his daughter because he thought she was a witch. But is he the real killer?

Brianna and Roger Will Time Travel Successfully

In the recently concluded season, fans felt a heavy heart for the couple when they failed to return to their time in the future. In the upcoming season, Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and Roger (Richard Rankin) will try to time travel again after they welcomed their daughter, Mandy.

Mandy is born with a heart defect that Claire can't cure. Brianna and Roger will try to look for more gemstones and travel back to modern times with their children.

Claire and Jamie's Obituary

The story in the A Breath of Snow and Ashes spans from 1773 to 1776. This means it will cover the fire at the Fraser Ridge in January 1776.

It can be recalled that the reason Brianna traveled to the past was because of the obituary that says Claire and James Fraser die in a house fire. The couple will not be fatally harmed by the fire but it will force them to return to Scotland.

Bald Claire

Fans might see a bald Claire in the next season. Apparently, Jamie's wife becomes seriously ill with dysentery. When passed out because of the illness, Mrs. Bug and Malva shave her head to lower her fever.

Lizzie Marries The Twins

When Lizzie (Caitlin O'Ryan) gets malaria, the Beardsley twins will be there to take care of her. She starts to hang out with Josiah, but then she realizes that she is also sleeping with Kezzie without knowing it.

Lizzie gets pregnant and she is not sure who is the father of her child. In the end, she will marry both Josiah or Keziah (Paul Gorman).
