It's no secret that Henry Cavill is a truly busy man. In addition to playing Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's The Witcher series, the Justice League actor has previously worked on a number of action films within the last three years. But is he finally ready to return as the Man of Steel? Cavill may have teased on the possibility that he will soon be returning as Superman in an upcoming DC Extended Universe flick.

There is a good reason why people have been concerned about Henry Cavill leaving the DC Extended Universe. Back in 2018, there were reports that the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star has decided to follow in Ben Affleck's footsteps and will no longer appear as Clark Kent in the next DCEU films. The rumors came soon after negotiations for Cavill's cameo in Shazam! didn't end well. In addition to that, it was confirmed that the actor has taken the lead role in the series adaptation of The Witcher.

Luckily, Henry Cavill has since clarified that he has no plans of leaving the DC Extended Universe just yet. In an interview, the Man of Steel star confirmed that the Superman cape is still in his closet although Warner Bros. has not yet announced any updates on his future projects. However, it looks like Cavill is already teasing on his next DCEU flick.

A new video explores all of the major teases that Henry Cavill has given about his return as Superman. In one particular case, the actor was asked if his schedule working on The Witcher Season 2 is causing him to miss out on other projects. Interestingly, Cavill pointed out that although it looks like he is too busy, he actually has some time to work on something other than the Netflix show.

"You've got to keep in mind that regardless of what movies I'll be doing over the next few years, you can fit two projects into one year," Cavill had said. Needless to say, the statement had fans wondering if he was referring to Man of Steel 2.

It is important to point out that Warner Bros. has not yet confirmed Man of Steel 2 as part of its upcoming films in the DC Extended Universe. Nevertheless, fans are hopeful that the studio is currently developing the sequel and could soon announce Henry Cavill's return as Superman. In the meantime, the actor is set to return as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher Season 2, which will air on Netflix next year.
