Fans already know that Diana Prince is one of the most powerful superheroes in the DC Extended Universe. After all, she easily took on Doomsday in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and crossed No Man's Land in her own solo film. But is it possible that the Amazonian princess will have a surprising new superpower in her upcoming movie? A new image from Wonder Woman 1984 reveals that Diana could be just as powerful as Superman later this year.

It's no secret that Wonder Woman is a force to reckon with because of her extensive list of special powers. In addition to superhuman strength, near-invulnerability, and semi-immortality, Diana Prince also boasts of amazing speed that could almost rival The Flash as well as advanced healing. It has also been proven that she is a strong warrior as seen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, and the first Wonder Woman film. However, it looks like she is set to be even more powerful in the upcoming sequel.

New images from Wonder Woman 1984 have recently been revealed and one photo teases a major upgrade for Diana Prince. In the picture, the Amazonian princess appears to be flying just like Superman. It's an interesting still considering that Diana has not been confirmed to have her flight ability in the DC Extended Universe. In her previous movies, the heroine has only been able to take major leaps into the air but she was never shown flying.

It's important to note that Wonder Woman does fly in the comic books. However, this ability has not yet been confirmed in the films. With that in mind, there is a huge possibility that Diana Prince will eventually get this ability sometime in Wonder Woman 1984. It's a cool superpower that would make her even more memorable to her fans.

Wonder Woman 1984 is directed by Patty Jenkins and will bring back Gal Gadot as Diana Prince. Interestingly, the sequel will also feature Chris Pine reprising his role as Steve Trevor although the character has been killed off in the first movie. Steve's return is reportedly important in the film as it would push Diana to deal with two new villains Max Lord, who is played by Game of Thrones actor Pedro Pascal, and Cheetah, who will be portrayed by Saturday Night Live alum Kristen Wiig. The movie is scheduled for release on August 14.
