It's no secret that Darth Maul is one of the main villains in Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7. After it was revealed that the former Sith Lord has been controlling the crime syndicates while ruling over Mandalore, Ahsoka Tano finally worked with Bo-Katan Kryze and called on the aid of the Republic to take Maul down. However, it looks like Maul had more pressing concerns for hatching a trap that almost caught Obi-Wan Kenobi in the previous episode of the final season. In the latest episode of the animated series, Maul admitted he had shocking plans not for Obi-Wan, but for Anakin Skywalker.

In Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 10, Bo-Katan Kryze worked with Captain Rex to defeat Gar Saxon and his loyalists while Ahsoka Tano faced off against Darth Maul. Interestingly, before they fought, Maul mentioned Darth Sidious to Ahsoka, who then relayed the information to Obi-Wan Kenobi. It is then that Ahsoka learns that Obi-Wan realized that Sidious was the one who is behind the Clone Wars. Unfortunately, his only evidence died with Count Dooku, who has been killed by Anakin Skywalker.

This isn't the only shocking information that Ahsoka Tano learns in The Phantom Apprentice. As she prepared to face off against Darth Maul, the villain tells her that he was planning to lure both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker into Mandalore so that he could kill them both. His reason for wanting Obi-Wan dead is quite obvious since the Jedi was the one who originally defeated him and cut him in half in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. However, Maul was also planning to get rid of Anakin for an unexpected reason.

Darth Maul informs Ahsoka Tano that Darth Sidious is slowly grooming Anakin Skywalker to become his new apprentice. To do so, the Sith Lord is seducing the young Jedi into the Dark Side of the Force. It's a shocking revelation for Ahsoka but also proof that she was aware of Anakin's future if he ends up being convinced to abandon the Jedi Council. Unfortunately, fans who have watched Star Wars Rebels will now know what was going through Ahsoka's mind when she faced off against Darth Vader.

There are two more episodes left in Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 and with the Siege of Mandalore almost done, there is a huge possibility that it could reveal Ahsoka Tano's fate during the events in Revenge of the Sith. Find out how it all ends when Episode 11, which is titled Shattered, airs on Disney+ on May 1.
