Donald Trump has been very popular even before his time inside the White House. Aside from being one of the prominent real estate moguls, he also had various ventures including reality television shows.

Being famous has its perks. But, it also entails a lot of criticisms and objections from several individuals.

In 1988, the then-editor of Vanity Fair, Graydon Carter described the now-US President as a "small-fingered Vulgarian," according to ABC News. When asked about it, later on, he, reportedly, said that he did it to "drive" Trump a "little crazy," which has become very effective.

The editor shared in 2015 that, just like all "bullies," Donald Trump has a "skin of gossamer." He revealed that up to this day, he still receives an "occasional envelope" from the American leader containing a photo of him.

The photos are reportedly "tear sheet" from magazines. In each of them, Graydon Carter said that Trump has seemingly "circled his hands" using a gold Sharpie" marker. He asserted that this has been an effort to highlight the "length of his fingers."

But, despite the efforts made throughout the years, the then-editor penned that he "almost feel sorry" for the "poor fellow." The reason being is that his fingers on the photos still "look abnormally stubby," he added.

During that year, it was revealed that Donald Trump sent again another "offering" to Graydon Carter. This was reportedly before Donald Trump decided to go after the GOP presidential race.

He continued to share that in the package, a photo of the now-US leader was included. This time, however, the circled hands in gold Sharpie entailed the words, "See, no so short!"

But, to make things much crazier, the then-editor said that he sent back the mail with an attached note. He said that he responded to Donald Trump by saying, "Actually, quite short."

After the article went viral in the same year, "small-hand-related" jokes came flooding in, according to Express UK. Aside from comedians, Trump's political rivals also, reportedly, utilized the joke against him.

As reported, Marco Rubio, who was also in the Republican presidential race told his supporters that the real estate mogul always referred to him a "little Marco." He said that this is true considering that Donald Trump is 6'2" tall.

However, he, reportedly, said that he does not understand why a man of that height has the same hands of a 5'2" person. He then said, "you know what they say about men with small hands." As his crowd burst into laughter, he continued "you can't trust them."
