Donald Trump has continued to become the center of reports amid the lockdown in the United States. One briefing after another, his statements and claims have easily caught the attention of many.

As the United States continues to fight the pandemic crisis, which has already infected more than 1.4 million individuals across the country, the US President has also continued to put the blame on China. As stated, the crisis "could have been stopped" in the Asian country.

Last week, Donald Trump reportedly made claims that the United States is now facing its "worst attack," according to BBC. The American leader reportedly shared that he described this "attack" as "worse" than the "Pearl Harbor" and the "World Trade Center."

As explained, his descriptions obviously referenced the Japanese bombing during World War II and the 9/11 attack nearly two decades ago. "There has never been an attack like this," the President added.

He reportedly went on to assert that the spread of the virus could have been "stopped" at the "source." But, "it wasn't, and the rest of the world is now suffering.

After making the claims, Donald Trump was reportedly asked by a reporter inside the Oval Office if he sought the current crisis as an "act of war." Although he was said to have made it clear that China is the one to blame, he reportedly "indicated" that the pandemic crisis was "America's foe." Even so, he said that he "views" it as a war.

In a similar report released by Aljazeera, it was stated that the current administration is becoming a lot more "critical of China." Donald Trump, alongside several officials, has reportedly blamed the country for the hundreds of thousands of deaths. Aside from this, Trump's administration was also revealed to have continued to demand China for more transparency in terms of how the country has handled the disease.

Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo also reportedly sided with the US President's claims. As reported, he said that there is "enormous evidence" that the novel coronavirus "emerged" from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The accusations came after Anthony Fauci's claims that COVID-19 appears to have "evolved in nature." As noted, he is one of the most trusted health experts in the country, and has been a part of the administration's Coronavirus Task Force.

To date, the United States has over 1.4 million COVID-19 cases with a total of 83,425 deaths. But, despite the increasing number of cases and deaths, Donald Trump has reportedly continued to move forward with the reopening of the country.
