Prince Charles is the royal patron and president of more than 400 organizations in the United Kingdom. Amid the pandemic crisis, it has appeared that the Heir Apparent has remained active and firm to his post in these patronages.

Recently, he released an official message through his official website for "The British Cheese Weekender." Aside from marking its final day earlier this week, the Prince of Wales is also the Patron of the Specialist Cheesemakers Association.

In his statement, he said that "good food" has undoubtedly brought "great comfort" to families and individuals amid the pandemic crisis. However, he said that it is "deeply troubling" that this crisis "risks" destroying "one of the most wonderful joys in life." Although he seemingly pointed out to foods, he cleared out that the message was all about "British Cheese."

Prince Charles continued to share that British cheesemakers need the "support" of everyone, especially in this time of "uncertainty." While it can be difficult to provide full support amid the lockdown, he noted that the public can help even "in the simplest way."

He then urged the public to source British cheese from "local shops and cheesemongers." He also mentioned sourcing from "producers online." By doing this, the Heir Apparent explained that this can become a "vital contribution to the industry since this will keep the small businesses "afloat" amid the COVID-19 crisis in the United Kingdom.

At the end of his message, Prince Charles said that he will be sharing one of his "favorite recipes" to "whet [everyone's] appetite." He also explained that the recipe can be made by utilizing any great British cheeses.

As per Fox News, the recipe was shared on the official social media accounts of Clarence House on Instagram and Twitter. In the post, Prince Charles was also described as a "proud champion of native British cheese."

The recipe is called "Cheesy Baked Eggs." It is, reportedly, very simple to make, and it will only need simple ingredients.

In doing the recipe, the ingredients include spinach, cherry tomatoes or sundried tomatoes, soft and hard cheese, double cream, and basil leaves. The post also noted that including charcuterie is optional.

Aside from the list of ingredients, the "methods" are also itemized. The nine-step process starts with buttering an oven-safe dish. This will be followed by the lining up spinach, tomatoes, soft cheese, and basil leaves.

In the middle, the egg must be cracked in. Once settled, pour the double cream without breaking the yolk. Grate the hard cheese on top of it before baking it for eight to ten minutes.

It also makes total sense why Prince Charles loves the recipe. As claimed, the Prince of Wales is a lover of eggs, according to Town & Country.
