The Cupertino tech juggernaut launched in 2020 the new iPad Pro 2020 with several exciting upgrades and a new accessory. One of the most significant improvements is the addition of the Magic Keyboard that enables to new premium tablet to float while offering more viewing angles for users. Interestingly, some users are now complaining about fast battery drain on their iPad Pro with most of them blaming the Magic Keyboard for the rapid loss of the device's juice.

2020 iPad Pro Magic Keyboard Issue

Multiple iPad Pro users are reporting an increased battery drain on their device whenever they use the latest Magic Keyboard. During normal usage, the Magic Keyboard reportedly drains the battery faster than the Smart Keyboard. Users claimed to have observed a spike of 3% of the battery every 10 minutes when using the new premium tablet accessory.

Several iPad Pro users shared their complaints on the social micro-blogging site Twitter. A significant number of users shared to have experienced a fast battery drain on both the 12-inch and the 11-inch version of the Magic Keyboard. Some prominent personalities shared similar experiences on Twitter, including Bloomberg's Mark Gurman and Actor, Writer, Director Jon Rettinger.

Apple has not yet made any statements regarding the issue, which means it is still unclear whether the fast battery drain is a hardware or a software issue. Interestingly, iPad Insight, which has also been keeping track of the iPad Pro problem, released a new report claiming that replacing the Magic Keyboard solved the problem for them. It is highly likely that Apple has not yet released an official statement about this issue because it is also conducting its own experiment to solve the issue.

Other iPad Pro Battery Issue Details

At present, iPad Pro users having the same fast battery drain issue could try not to use the Magic Keyboard and observe what happens. If the problem stops, it could be due to the new accessory. However, if it does not stop, they can wait for Apple's recommendations, which should be available anytime soon.

The Cupertino tech titan is advertising the iPad Pro as a replacement for laptops. To make its premium tablet on par with the standard laptops, Apple introduced the Magic Keyboard. But, with the current issue plaguing the Magic Keyboard, the Cupertino tech giant has to do something so consumers would not get discouraged purchasing the iPad Pro and using the Magic Keyboard.
