The bond between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton has been often questioned by the many. But, despite the rumors, the Duchess of Cambridge made a touching effort for Prince Harry's wife on their wedding day in 2018.

Kate Middleton intentionally did not to wear interesting clothes at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding. Prince William's wife opted to don a low-key dress so that she would never get the attention that was supposed to be for the bride.

The future queen consort knew that the media would be interested to see her appearance at the 2018 royal wedding. At the time, she just gave birth to their youngest child, Prince Louis, Hello! Magazine noted.

So, she made sure that she would never steal the spotlight from the Duchess of Sussex by opting for a low-key ensemble. Although she used to wear a new dress for weddings, this time, she donned what-believed-to-be a recycled Alexander McQueen coat dress. She might have already worn this dress in three different occasions--Princess Charlotte's christening in 2015, Trooping the Color in 2016, and a visit to Belgium in 2017.

Talking about Kate Middleton's wedding style, royal correspondent Danielle Stacey said it is a fashion trick that she always does when choosing an outfit for wedding events. She bravely re-wears clothes from her wardrobe to some of her "closest friends and family's" weddings. She is also not afraid to wear a dress or a coat with a similar style but with different colors.

Meanwhile, some also question why Kate Middleton was not part of Meghan Markle's bridal party. Rumors have it that the two duchesses do not have the best of relationship during their time together in the U.K. So, is it the reason behind her non-inclusion?

According to Express, it is because of a royal protocol and not because they are not close. Royal expert Marlene Koenig told Town & Country magazine that adult bridesmaids are not part of the royal brides' bridal party.

It is quite unusual for the royal bride to have a woman in her late 30s to be a maid or matron of honor. Kate Middleton was not even part of Pippa Middleton's bridal party at her wedding day.

She was only helping her younger sister with her train and leading the boys into the church, but she was never an official bridesmaid. Just like what Kate Middleton did for Meghan Markle, she, too, did not want to upstage Pippa Middleton on her big day.
