Manchester United is looking for more firepower and Harry Kane has been mentioned. The only problem with that is that the Red Devils will need to shell out an enormous fee to get the English striker to their side. Tottenham is seeking a ridiculous $244 million fee for Kane, something that may foil the plans of United.

However, Kane is not the only player on the Spurs side that the Red Devils can consider. They have other players who are priced more reasonably. One player that comes to mind is South Korean Heung-Min Son. The Korean has been quietly performing well but unlikely to be a top player for as long as he is playing behind Kane. Son has not been mentioned that much in transfer talks but he is someone that United may consider.

One person who believes that Son is worth looking into is Peter Schmeichel. The legendary goalkeeper responded to a question during a Q&A session recently, asked who the Red Devils could go after other than Kane. His response was "Son of Spurs," apparently referring to the 27-year-old football player. Son was acquired by Tottenham in 2015 for $27 million. A transfer fee remains unknown but the numbers are likely to be higher than what the Spurs got in 2015.

Since coming over from Bayer Leverkusen, Son has been improving through the years. This season, he accounted for nine goals and seven assists before play was halted by the coronavirus. He made the most out of the break, heading back to South Korea to complete is military obligations. Son has since returned and is now back with the team as they prepare for the possible resumption of play next month.

Son could be a key addition to United if they can consider it. The past weeks have seen several names linked to Old Trafford. Among the names include Jadon Sancho, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Raul Jimenez and Alassane Plea. Looking at the transfer fee of these players, the Red Devils may consider Son if the asking price is with the range of $38 to $45 million, more or less the median of all the names mentioned.

Like most teams, United is cash-strapped and expected to spend wisely heading into the transfer window. There is also a chance that they may not take anyone in if the skills and asking price of their targets are not plausible. The Red Devils are at the fifth spot and three points behind Chelsea in the Premier League Table. if the season resumes, they have a chance to catch up if they have sufficient talent to field in.
