Rumors about Queen Elizabeth II abdicating the throne once again surface. Allegedly, Her Majesty is now preparing to step down as her will leaked to the public.

With all the royal family is experiencing, the monarchy is said to be in crisis, so Queen Elizabeth is planning to retire. Is there any truth about it?

In the headline Queen's Will Leaked: Who'll Get What?, New Idea made a dubious story about the Monarch and her husband, Prince Philip, who are both self-isolating at Windsor Castle. It has been known that the couple started their home quarantine when the government imposed the self-isolation order when the COVID-19 pandemic started grappling the country.

An alleged source told the publication that nothing is going into the Queen's diary at the moment, although they have not canceled a bunch of engagements. It also questioned her return to regular duties.

At 94, it is well known that Queen Elizabeth is one of the most high-risk individuals of the disease. Hence, it is no surprise that she will be self-isolating, along with Prince Philip, who is now 98, at their Windsor estate.

The article used the story of her being out of the public eye to support the claim that she is stepping down as the leader of the Commonwealth, but Gossip Cop debunked the tale, insisting there is no truth about it. It also never mentioned anything about who will get anything from her alleged leaked will.

Her Royal Highness is not abdicating the throne, stressing the report is a story of fantasy. Anything that is said about the will comes from a completely different angle. So, there is also no truth about the alleged leak.

Express noted that Queen Elizabeth has no plans and will never abdicate the throne. Royal expert Penny Junor even told the ITV documentary, Inside the Crown: Secrets of the Royals, that when Queen Juliana of the Netherlands stepped down, she called it "typically Dutch."

Lady Glenconnor also added that as the Queen Mother managed to live a good ole age, Queen Elizabeth would also do so. To recall, she ascended the throne when her father, George VI, suddenly died in 1952. At the time, she was only 25.

Now, Queen Elizabeth has been on the throne for 68 years. In about four years, she will be the longest-reigning monarch in history. Today, she is on the fourth spot of the longest-reigning ruler. Louis XIV of France holds the record for being on the throne for 72 years and 109 days.
