Prince William and Kate Middleton are two of the most popular and well-loved members of the Royal Family. There are so many reasons as to why the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge receive a lot of praise, but one of the main reasons is that their marriage, parenthood, obligations, and how they deal with them are very relatable.

Even though Prince William is the future King of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms and Kate Middleton is the future Queen Consort, they try to live an ordinary life as much as possible. While completing their royal obligations, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are also hands-on parents to their three young children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

On top of that, Prince William and Kate Middleton will also have to deal with their personal struggles while serving as strength and stability to the public. In fact, the Duke of Cambridge opened up in the upcoming documentary Football, Prince William, and our Mental Health about fatherhood, his mental health challenges, and the pain he felt over the death of his mother Princess Diana, who passed away when he was only 15 years old.

When footballer Marvin Sordell shared how hard it was for him to grow up without a father, Prince William completely understood him. The Duke of Cambridge said that “your emotions come back in leaps and bounds because it's a very different phase of life.”

Prince William also said that he felt overwhelmed at times as there was no one to help him when he’s dealing with the pain. But then he pointed out that Kate Middleton has been a huge support system for him during these “scariest” moments.

“Me and Catherine particularly, we support each other and we go through those moments together and we kind of evolve and learn together,” Prince William said. The Duke of Cambdrige then proceeded to explain that having childing is an absolute amazing moment, but it's also " one of the scariest.“

It is quite clear that Prince William and Kate Middleton’s lives are not all rainbows and butterflies like in the fairytales. But despite their busy schedules and personal struggles, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have learned to do all their obligations as senior royals and as parents together successfully.

Football, Prince William, and our Mental Health will be shown on BBC One on Thursday, May 28.
