Ivanka Trump and Meghan Markle are popular personalities from different industries. While the latter became famous for her career in Hollywood, the former has been known for several things including her name, modeling career, and her "empire."
But, aside from this point, reports said that they are far different from each other. Despite the repeated "comparison" between the Duchess and the First Daughter, their personalities and views are what reportedly "drove the wedge" between them.
According to Cheat Sheet, the links between Meghan Markle and Ivanka Trump started when the Duchess of Sussex wrote a "praise" post for the now-President's daughter. In her lifestyle blog, The Tig, which is now no longer active, the former actress published a post revealing her adoration for Ivanka.
In 2014, she reportedly described Donald Trump's eldest daughter as "staggeringly beautiful." Meghan also said that Ivanka is "incredibly savvy" and intelligent."
Aside from her characteristics and personality, the now-wife of Prince Harry also went on to praise the First Daughter for carving a "niche for herself" outside her father's name. She has "created her own empire," Meghan Markle added.
While she had nothing to say but, great things about Ivanka Trump, their differences reportedly became apparent when Donald Trump ran for the 2016 Presidential Election. As reported, Meghan talked about her dislike for the then-presidential hopeful in an interview.
Quite obviously, the case is different for the First Daughter. As pointed out, she has been a huge fan of her father and even deemed as Donald Trump's favorite.
But, despite the political differences, the two women seemingly maintained good ties between them. As per the same publication, Ivanka even congratulated Meghan and Prince Harry when they announced their engagement in 2017.
Although the differences between the two women have continued to become more evident in recent years, reports said that they have two things common. The first one is that they both have divorced parents.
Cheat Sheet explained that Meghan's parents, Thomas Markle, Sr and Doria Ragland got a divorce when she was 6-years-old. As for Ivanka, her parents, Donald Trump and Ivana Trump separated when she was 8-years-old.
The second thing that they have in common is reportedly the same taste and interest in fashion. Now To Love released a report featuring all the same clothes and styles that both Ivanka Trump and Meghan Markle have flaunted over the years. Surprisingly, they have a very similar taste as they usually wear the exact same clothes and designs.
