Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently residing in Los Angeles with their son Archie after officially stepping down as senior royals at the end of March. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stunned the world with their withdrawal announcement earlier this year, but Queen Elizabeth eventually shared that she and the Royal Family support their decision.
One of the reasons why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to turn their backs on being senior royals is to live a more “peaceful life.” After completing their final royal engagement in March, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex quickly relocated to the US.
But just because Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no longer working royals, that does not mean that they are not part of the Royal Family anymore. In fact, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are still treasured members of the royal clan.
That being said, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were invited to Princess Beatrice’s royal wedding. However, this much-awaited reunion of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with the Royal Family is not going to happen.
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s wedding is set on May 29. But due to the coronavirus lockdown, the nuptials have been called off. Meaning, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be going back to the UK as many expected.
Meanwhile, an earlier report claimed that Princess Beatrice may “never get married” due to multiple issues before her nuptials. Aside from her wedding day being postponed due to the global health crisis, her father Prince Andrew also threatened the event with his withdrawal after his scandalous interview with BBC Newsnight last November.
Prince Andrew discussed his alleged involvement to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s scandal in the interview. After that, the Duke of York announced that he will withdraw from royal life for “the foreseeable future.” Many believed that his sudden decision was to save the Royal Family from embarrassment.
As if that’s not enough trouble for Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s wedding, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they will step down as senior royals four months before the Princess of York will say “I do” to her fiancé.
Now, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s wedding is officially postponed. Just like the previous issues, the couple also has no control over the matter. There are no new details regarding their nuptials.
