Prince William and Kate Middleton have been preparing themselves as the future King and Queen Consort of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. Queen Elizabeth had been mentoring the Duke of Cambridge for years to get him ready for his very important role in the future.

That being said, Prince William and Kate Middleton were already aware of their upcoming duties once they take their new roles as future King and Queen Consort. However, they were certainly not prepared to take a larger workload after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle quit royal life.

The Duke ad Duchess of Sussex announced earlier this year that they will step down as senior royals. And on March 31, the couple officially withdrew from their roles.

Now, a new report claims that Kate Middleton feels “exhausted and trapped” as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal exit left her with an increasing workload. An insider even said that the Duchess of Cambridge is “furious” about taking more obligations.

“Kate is furious about the larger workload,” the source said. “Of course she’s smiling and dressing appropriately but she doesn’t want this. She feels exhausted and trapped."

Another insider added that Prince William and Kate Middleton have always been hands-on parents and it seems like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t consider this when they decided to turn their backs on being senior royals. While the Sussexes are enjoying more time with their family after their withdrawal, a lot of time was taken away from the Cambridges.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton are amping up their royal obligations during the coronavirus lockdown while Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles are self-isolating. Her Majesty and the Prince of Wales are considered to be high-risk to catch severe COVID-19 due to their age, so the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently doing most of the work.

But since Prince William and Kate Middleton are also complying with the implemented lockdown, they are completing their royal duties at their home in Anmer Hall in Norfolk. Just last week, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge played virtual bingo with the residents at the Shire Hall Care Home in Cardiff.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have been isolating in their country home with their three young children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. They are expected to stay there until the lockdown is lifted.
