SEVENTEEN has been confirmed to make a comeback next month and Carats are ready to welcome the 13-member idol group with a bang.
According to a report by All Kpop, insiders confirmed that SEVENTEEN is making a comeback on June 22. Excited fans have long been waiting for SVT to make a comeback since their last album Ode was released last September.
Apart from the nine-month wait, SEVENTEEN leader S.coups also had to sit out some promotional schedules to focus on his mental health after the SVT rapper was diagnosed with anxiety. SEVENTEEN also had to cancel some of their scheduled concerts because of the massive spread of COVID-19 in different parts of the world, leading Pledis Entertainment to pull out performances for the safety of the artists and their fans.
Last April, SEVENTEEN released their second Japanese single Fallin' Flower which quickly climbed in the Oricon chart as the record sold 230,000 within a day of its release. They also topped Oricon's daily singles chart when it was officially released on April 2.
Fallin Flower also topped other charts in Japan such as HMV's online shop, Tower Records' online shop, and Japan Line Top 100. This was a remarkable boost from the release of their first Japanese single Happy Ending last year, Korea Joong Daily reported.
For their summer comeback, Carats can expect the return of the original 13 member line up of SEVENTEEN. S.coups recently took to VLive to announce that he will be rejoining his members Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino to deliver their new music together for their comeback.
Even while keeping a low profile in terms of new music in the past nine months, SEVENTEEN maintained their strong following from their fans.
The May boy group brand reputation rankings showed that SVT held on to a strong sixth place position out of all the boy groups that were surveyed. The Korean Business Research Institute conducts a regular analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of different idol groups using big data to determine their brand value, Soompi reported.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN recently launched their WeVerse account where members regularly showed off their crazy and fun adventures behind the scenes of their promotional activities. Their natural knack for variety and their natural charisma also made them an easy choice to feature in YouTube's latest documentary series entitled Hit the Road.
