A recent coverage from Tatler magazine about Kate Middleton has struck a nerve with some royal fans. A royal commentator took issue with the so-called "friends" of the Duchess of Cambridge, who allegedly shared some intimate details for the magazine's cover story on Prince William's wife.

Charlie Proctor, who is the editor of Royal Central, wrote a scathing piece targeting the unnamed friends who tipped Tatler. Proctor said that these friends might need a lesson in self-awareness because of the "ridiculous remarks" they said in defense of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

These friends told Tatler that Prince William and Kate resented Prince Harry and Meghan for leaving behind their royal duties. Apparently, the Sussex royals' step back has brought on major burden for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who had to make sacrifices for their family to take on more work for the royal family.

One friend allegedly said that Kate has been "working harder like a CEO" since Prince Harry and Meghan left. She's "exhausted and trapped" in her situation that she could hardly take a break and be with her growing kids. The Cambridges want to be hands-on parents to George, Charlotte and Louis but Prince Harry and Meghan's selfishness affected their plans.

Proctor said that the anonymous tip sounded tactless when there's a public health crisis happening all over the world. Proctor said that the Kate and Prince William's issues, if they were indeed true, were nothing compared to the healthcare workers who are actually struggling with their "enormous workloads."

The editor also said that if the friend used the wrong approach in trying to draw sympathy for Kate by describing her struggles, at the expense of Prince Harry and Meghan. The friend could have praised the Cambridges without trivializing those who are actually struggle with their jobs.

Besides, Kate and Prince William have been in isolation with their children since mid-March. They've been homeschooling their children, which means they have been parenting their kids hands-on this whole time.

Meanwhile, Kensington Palace had to issue a strong and rare statement in response to the Tatler story. The palace claimed that the story had a "swathe of inaccuracies and false misrepresentations" that were not cleared before publication.

But Tatler defended their story on Kate and said that Kensington knew they were doing a piece on the Duchess of Cambridge. They claimed to have asked the palace to work with them months ago for the story.
