Miranda Lambert has been rumored to be divorcing her husband Brendan McLoughlin just four months after their wedding in February 2019. What's the truth about Lambert and McLoughlin's marriage?
About a year ago, Star published a cover story claiming that Lambert was divorcing McLoughlin after just a little over 120 days of marriage. At that time, a source told the tabloid Miranda was regretting her decision to tie the knot with Brendan and considered it as the biggest mistake that she ever made.
The insider claimed the long-distance life had become tiring for the "Bluebird" singer. Lambert has been splitting her time between Nashville, where she owns a home, and New York City, where McLoughlin lives and works as a police officer. The tabloid alleged Miranda would like both of them to live in Nashville.
The source added Lambert's friends now fear that the country singer might lose all her money in the divorce. It's because Miranda allegedly didn't have Brendan sign a prenup.
Lambert's spokesperson denied the rumor, saying it was a completely made-up and the couple are very much happy together. A year after the divorce rumor, Miranda and Brendan are still together. In fact, the singer has been sharing photos of her and Brendan spending time together amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
It is worth noting that Lambert and McLoughlin's marriage has been rumored on the rocks in the past. In July 2019, Life & Style claimed the singer had been drowning herself to alcohol because of marital issues. It also suggested that the couple's wildly different lifestyles had led the newlyweds to live separately.
This was despite several interviews with Miranda where she said she loves to split her time between NYC and Nashville. The 36-year-old singer said she is enjoying the balance of having the best of both worlds.
Miranda Lambert was previously married to Blake Shelton. The two announced that they were divorcing in July 2015 after four years of marriage.
Lambert then dated R&B singer Anderson East but they split in April 2018. She also dated Turnpike Troubadours frontman, Evan Felker, in 2018 but broke up in August 2018. It was believed that Lambert started dating McLoughlin after her romance with Felker ended.
According to Miranda, she first met Brendan when he served as security detail for The Pistol Annies when they performed for Good Morning America in 2018. The Annies, apparently, invited Brendan to their show without informing Miranda.
It was a whirlwind romance. In February 2019, Lambert announced that she married the NYPD officer earlier that year.
