It's no secret that fans are always hoping to get updates on their favorite idols. However, most K-pop idols have limited visibility on social media. Interestingly, things are changing for MONSTA X. Minyuk has just decided to join Instagram and his first post is something that is truly close to his heart.
MONSTA X have always been trying to interact with their fans. In addition to the boy group's official Twitter and Instagram accounts, the idols are also active on their official fan cafe where they get to interact with Monbebes. However, Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, and I.M. don't have their own personal social media accounts. This changed when Lee Minhyuk decided to join Instagram.
On June 1, Minhyuk posted on the official MONSTA X Twitter account that his personal Instagram account was now open. He then shared that his Instagram name was "go5rae" which is a play on the word "고래" ("whale") which is one of his favorite animals. Not surprisingly, Lee Minhyuk's first post on Instagram was a truly fitting one. The group's visual decided to share an awesome photo of a whale.
The first post shouldn't be a huge surprise for Monbebes. After all, Minhyuk has been very vocal about his love for whales. At one point, Lee Minhyuk even shared with fans that he was planning to get a tattoo of a whale and went as far as to illustrate how it should be done on his leg. The MONSTA X member currently has a gorgeous tattoo of a whale on his leg that covers up a scar on his knee.
After posting the photo of the whale, Minhyuk then shared two images of himself from a recent photoshoot for the Singles June issue. Lee Minhyuk then followed that up with a photo of himself painting as well as the artwork in progress. Needless to say, fans are hoping that the MONSTA X member will be consistently updating his Instagram account with awesome new photos.
For now, Minhyuk is the only current member of MONSTA X that has a personal Instagram account. Former member Wonho also has his own account. Nevertheless, Monbebes are hoping that Shownu, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, and I.M. will soon follow suit and open their own personal accounts.
Minhyuk and the rest of MONSTA X are currently promoting their latest mini-album Fantasia X as well as the lead single 'Fantasia'. In addition to that, the idols will star in a new travel show on Seezn and V Live called Monsta X Is On Vacation.
