Happy fifth anniversary to SEVENTEEN! S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino debuted back in May 26, 2015, with their first single 'Adore U' and have been pursuing a truly successful career. Not surprisingly, the boy group had the perfect way to celebrate their latest milestone of being in the industry for half a decade. In their anniversary special, the members decided to play each other while looking back at some of their most popular music videos from the past.

SEVENTEEN already teased on the anniversary special through a teaser released on Monday, May 25. Instead of airing a new episode of Going SEVENTEEN 2020, the boy group's official YouTube and VLive channels dropped a short teaser for the Fifth Anniversary Special. Interestingly, the teaser somehow suggested that each member will be playing a different member for the special event.

The SEVENTEEN 5th Anniversary '빛나는 5주년(Shining 5th Anniversary)' special has finally been dropped and it confirmed that the members of the boy group actually came up with the idea in the first place. The episode opens with S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino sitting down for a meeting where they planned for their upcoming anniversary. Interestingly, the idols had different ideas for the event.

The brainstorming meeting resulted in several interesting ideas. At one point, Hoshi suggested that SEVENTEEN should celebrate their fifith anniversary by having roast duck and Oreos because both food sound like the number 5 in Korean. Although this idea was rejected, the members tried to get Seungkwan to buy them roast duck.

In the end, Seungkwan was chosen to host the special episode as Wonwoo. In the special event, Mingyu played S.Coups and vice versa. Jeonghan pretended to be The8, who pretended to be Hoshi, who pretended to be Boo Seungkwan. Meanwhile, Jun played Joshua and vice versa while DK played Yoon Jeonghan, Woozi pretended to be Dino, who pretended to be Lee Seokmin.

One of the best parts of the part switch was Wonwoo's take on Vernon, which included a bright tie-dyed shirt and matching purple glasses. Chwe Hansol also looked just like Lee Jihoon in his blazer, trademark white shirt, and slippers.

SEVENTEEN debuted back on May 26, 2015 with their first single 'Adore U' from the mini album 17 Carat. The boy group is reportedly working on their next comeback later this year. In the meantime, you can watch the rest of the fifth anniversary special below.
