In an interview with GQ Magazine, Billie Eilish talked about her personal life and how the negative comments about her almost resulted in suicide. Apart from that, she also revealed the real reason behind her signature look.
The "Bad Guy" hitmaker never felt desired; that was why she opted to wear baggy clothes. She went on to say that none of her previous boyfriends made her feel that she was wanted. The songwriter also confessed that it significantly affected her that she had never been "physically desired by somebody."
According to Hollywood Life, the Grammy winner does not wear outfits that will show the shape of her body. She dresses the way she does, as she does not want anyone to judge her physique or the size of it.
However, there are some exceptions when it comes to her style. Billie Eilish reveals that maybe someday, she will just wake up feeling wearing a tank top, which she has already done before.
Aside from her style, she also confessed that the online bullying she has experienced left her feeling suicidal. She narrated how she almost killed herself in Germany in 2018. At the time, she was on tour and read the cruel posts about her on social media.
She also told GQ that everything she read was unbelievable that she almost took her own life. She even started thinking of the way that she was going to die.
Fortunately, she snapped back to reality, thanks to her mother, brother and musical collaborator, Finneas O'Connell, and tour manager, Brian. She also touched on the issue of the young artists' struggles of modern stardom and dangers that come with social media. In a different interview with BBC, she revealed that she stopped reading Instagram comments because it was ruining her life.
