There are still a lot of uncertainties when it comes to the official arrival of Magnum P.I. season 3. The wait could be a long one, even though the series was part of the CBS fall schedule. Considering the current global health crisis, cast and crew won't be able to go back to work anytime soon.
But despite the potential delay, Magnum P.I. season 3 will deliver more interesting stories once it premieres. One of the best and most interesting parts of the series is Perdita Weeks' Juliet Higgins. She is quick-witted, could deal with high-pressure moments, and has great dynamics with Magnum.
So, what the future holds for Higgins in the upcoming installment? Perhaps, the new season could explore more of her training. One of the biggest strengths of Higgins is that she has a certain MI6 background. It makes her effective at some things no one else within the team can do.
Higgins excels in both field and tech world. Hence, it would be interesting to see her dealing with some challenges wherein she could utilize both of her skills. Magnum P.I. season 3 may also explore Higgins being a boss. We could end up seeing her dealing with other stuff because of her position at the Robin's Nest.
It's also interesting to see Higgins being the taskmaster while having have with the gig. When it comes to her romantic life, there is something about it that should be addressed. She and Magnum almost got married in the previous season, but she decided to marry another man instead.
She didn't do this because of love, but because this is a way for her to stay in the country. Perhaps, one of the reasons why she doesn't want to marry Magnum was because he could get too attached to the idea. Still, it would be nice to explore the possibility of feeling. After all, their relationship is interesting, regardless of whether or not it's romantic.
Magnum P.I. season 3 could also bring a new Big Bad for Higgins. While Magnum, Rick, and TC are the forefront of the series, there's something about Higgins that makes her different from the three. Someone from her past may possibly appear to cause some trouble.
Seeing Higgins going undercover could also be featured in Magnum P.I. season 3. This has been already done for almost any character in the series. But it's nice to see her doing such things with Magnum, as they bring fun in their mission. They pretend to be other people while out on the field together. In fact, they pretended as a couple in the previous installment.
