Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner reportedly had a serious talk before the former's new girlfriend, Ana de Armas, was able to meet their children. Garner allegedly laid down some ground rules to the Deep Waters stars.
Affleck was finally able to introduce de Armas to his three children with Garner. The couple along with Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, were recently spotted taking a walk together in Los Angeles with their dogs in tow.
It was a huge step in the relatively new relationship between Affleck and de Armas. But apparently, it did not come easy.
According to Star, the Justice League actor and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner had a serious discussion about Ana's first meeting with their kids. The tabloid even labeled the talk between the ex-spouses as a "showdown."
A source of the tabloid claimed Garner wasn't happy about Ben's request for their kids to meet up with the Knives Out actress. The insider claimed it is natural for Garner to have some reservations about the new Bond girl. However, the Alias actress realized that it is something that she could avoid forever.
Garner instead laid out some major ground rules before the walk happened. The rules include requiring everyone to wear masks and follow social distancing.
The Elektra actress also reportedly told Ben that there should be no junk food for the kids and no bad language while they are together. Most importantly, Garner allegedly insisted on her ex-husband not to talk to their children about his love life with de Armas.
Gossip Cop debunked the Star report, citing several reasons. Affleck's spokesperson assured to the outlet that there is no truth about the rumor that the actor and Garner had a "showdown" about their kids meeting with the War Dogs actress.
The outlet also noted that Garner has no reason to restrict Affleck from introducing his new girlfriend to their kids since the Peppermint actress' boyfriend, John Miller, has been in their lives for years now.
Gossip Cop added that Garner doesn't need to tell Affleck about wearing a mask. The Argo actor and de Armas have been regularly seen wearing masks when they go out for a walk.
It also cited several rumors that Star wrote about the new couple. In April, it reported that Affleck was showering de Armas with lavish birthday gifts including a sports car.
Last month, it also reported that Ben gave Ana a $200,000 diamond-encrusted ruby promise ring. The actor allegedly planned to replace it with a traditional engagement ring once jewelry stores open. Gossip Cop dismissed both stories.
