Lori Loughlin is understandably in a stressful situation at the moment because of her and her husband's upcoming sentencing. But a tabloid's new claim is that the Fuller House actress is having a mental breakdown over the possibility of jail time.

According to the National Enquirer, Loughlin wasn't eating or sleeping because of her impending jail time. Her friends, allegedly, begged the actress to seek professional help

A source told the tabloid that Loughlin has been living in this fantasy world and she somehow expected that she and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, would dodge the college admission scandal case without going to jail. However, when she realized that their defense was crumbling and there is no other way but to make a plea deal, Lori, reportedly, pleaded to Giannulli to accept a deal.

A source close to the When Calls the Heart actress, however, assured Gossip Cop that Lori isn't having a mental breakdown over the case. The outlet added that the National Enquirer's supposed "therapist" has no connection to Loughlin or Giannulli and has no knowledge of the actress' mental state.

The truth on the matter is that Lori and Mossimo would be serving jail time regardless of what the judge would decide on the day of final sentencing in August. The fact that the couple already offered a plea deal, it is likely that they are also prepared to spend time in prison as it was stated in their plea agreement.

Loughlin and Giannulli got entangled in the college admission scandal last year. They were accused of paying $500 million in bribes to get their daughters, Isabella and Olivia Jade, into the University of Southern California as rowing recruits. It was later revealed that the two never participated in the sports.

Gossip Cop added that Enquirer doesn't have an impressive record of its reporting about Loughlin. In August 2019, it claimed that Lori's daughters had turned their backs on their mother in the wake of the scandal.

It was absolutely false as Isabella and Olivia Jade openly expressed their support to their mother. In July 2019 amidst the scandal, both shared a throwback photo of them and the 90210 actress.

Isabella and Olivia Jade also paid tribute to their mother during the recent Mother's Day. In their respective posts on Instagram, the two expressed how much they love Loughlin.

Back in December, the National Enquirer also claimed that Loughlin was terrified of prison life so she has been learning martial arts to prepare herself. Gossip Cop dismissed the rumor since at the time, Loughlin was planning for a not-guilty plea at her trial therefore she wasn't thinking about going to prison.
