Worried that Sadio Mane has plans to leave, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is said ready to offer the Senegalese striker in a swap deal with Paris Saint-Germain. As expected, the German boss will want the Parisians to send over Kylian Mbappe in exchange for Mane, whose market value now stands at £150 million.

To be clear, Mane has until 2023 to stay at Anfield but Klopp is looking to make sure that the 28-year-old is committed to the club for the long-term. The Senegalese was offered an extension last year that would bring his weekly pay to £220,000 per week but he has yet to affix his signature on the proposed deal.

The German boss knew that Mane has attracted the attention of top clubs in Europe with PSG and Real Madrid at the forefront of those who are interested. The Sun said Klopp's priority is to keep the star striker on the roster but if the player has other things in mind, then the next move to push for a deal to benefit Liverpool.

If indeed Mane, whose 77 goals so far for the Reds since arriving in 2016 make him a prized asset at Anfield, is keen to move out soon, the Liverpool boss wants to make sure that his side can leverage on the winger's value.

So for PSG to get a full hold of the top goalscorer, the key is to give up Mbappe, who has been rated with a current value of £200 million.

It would seem that Anfield would be willing to pay the cash and ship out Mane to France for good measure, the report said. It may too high a price to pay but the gain is clearly on the side of Liverpool.

The 2019 Champions League winner will get a 21-year-old attacker in Mbappe, who is touted to dominate the game in the years to come. Already, the French superstar has registered over 90 goals since joining PSG and has won Ligue 1 four times.

It should be noted too that Mbappe is part of the France team that captured the 2018 World Cup so for the Reds fans, the potential arrival of the PSG sensation is certainly welcome, Team Talk said in a related report.

For PSG's part, getting Mane for Mbappe could also prove advantageous. The Senegalese developed into full stardom while starring for Liverpool, and he is a proven winner. He was instrumental with the Reds capture of the UCL crown last year and the same was seen as the side of Klopp inches closer into winning the Premier League title. And Mane was shortlisted in the Ballon d'Or award in December 2019.

Besides, PSG will find it hard to resist £200 million for Mbappe and get a top-caliber player like Mane in the process.
