Prince Harry is currently residing in Los Angeles with Meghan Markle and their son Archie. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the US after they officially stepped down as senior royals at the end of March.
Although Queen Elizabeth stated that she and the Royal Family support Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision, it was something that they didn’t expect to happen at all. Multiple reports then claimed that some of the members of the royal clan were not too happy with the couple’s withdrawal and the relationship of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with the Royal Family has completely changed.
But Prince Charles’ Father’s Day message sheds light on his current relationship with Prince Harry. The official Instagram page for Clarence House, which shares the activities of the Prince of Wales and Camilla, shared a couple of photos during the special event.
One of the snaps showed Prince Charles with his two sons Prince William and Prince Harry. “Whether you are a father, a Dad, a Daddy or a Pa, wishing you a Happy Father’s Day!” the post read.
Prince Charles has said in the past that he wanted to spend more time with Prince William and Prince Harry. Sources close to the future King shared that he added more family time into his diary.
So even though Prince Harry turned his back on royal life, Prince Charles still extended a sweet gesture to his younger son on Father’s Day. However, Prince Philip may not be as soft as the Prince of Wales.
Prince Philip retired at the age of 96 after serving the monarchy for decades. And while he now lives away from the royal world, he is surely aware of the drama surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s withdrawal.
Even though Prince Philip is already retired, he maintains a strong sense of royal duty, which he didn’t see in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to a report.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams noted that Prince Philip had to give up his career to support Queen Elizabeth. But instead of living his life complaining about being a part of the royal family, the Duke of Edinburgh decided to make the most out of it.
While Prince Philip remained silent regarding the matter, Richard Fitzwilliams shared in an earlier report that he is not too pleased with how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did their announcement. The royal expert said that the Duke of Edinburgh may have taken the whole thing with "a dim view.”
