One of Kate Middleton’s passions is photography. And the Duchess of Cambridge's subject is usually her family, especially her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Kate Middleton is an accomplished photographer and has used her talent numerous times to record special events in the royal family household. So on Father’s Day, Prince William and Kate’s Instagram account shared a heartwarming photo of Prince Charles and his older son, which was captured by the Duchess of Cambridge last December on the Sandringham estates.

Prince Charles’ relationship with his children is different from Prince William’s bond with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. It is easy to see that the future King is less close to his sons unlike the Duke of Cambridge and his children who appeared to be very tight.

However, this does not mean that Prince Charles and Prince William’s relationship is non-existent. In fact, their recent Father’s Day photo revealed their special bond.

A family friend shared that the posting of the picture shows that the Prince of Wales has changed. “He looks positively doting, he loves the picture and was happy for others to see it,” they said.

Prince Charles has said in the past that he wanted to spend more time with Prince William and Prince Harry. Sources close to the future King shared that he added more family time into his diary. “It has meant that their relationship has become much closer,” the insider revealed.

Back in February, Prince Charles, Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton all joined together to check out the facilities available to injured service personnel at The Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre Stanford Hall in Nottinghamshire. The four royals were given a tour as they met patients undergoing gym rehab sessions and they visited the prosthetics workshops as well.

Since they were already there, it felt natural for Prince Charles and Prince William to test out the facilities, including the basketball court. The Duke of Cambridge sat in a wheelchair, attempting to shoot a ball, as the Prince of Wales pushed him along.

Prince William then managed to shoot a ball while sitting in a wheelchair. A very proud Prince Charles then squeezed his son on the shoulder, assuring him that he did a great job.

This rare public display of affection of Prince Charles to Prince William was a breath of fresh air as the future King himself shared that he was not close to his parents because they were busy completing their royal obligations when he was growing up. He also noted that Her Majesty and Prince Philip were strict.
