After being spotted on a date at a ranch in Gangwon Province, it has been confirmed that 2PM's Taecyeon is dating a non celebrity.
In a statement released by his agency 51K, they confirmed that Taecyeon is in a relationship with a non-celebrity and refrained from providing further details to protect the privacy of their artist and his girlfriend.
2PM's Taecyeon's news came shortly after fellow second gen idol Max Changmin of TVXQ admitted to his own relationship and announced that he was preparing to get married to his non-celebrity girlfriend this September.
In his recent interaction with his fans, Changmin personally made his announcement through a handwritten letter before SM Entertainment officially confirmed the news.
In his letter, Changmin thanked the fans for all the love and promised to work even harder as a member of TVXQ in the future. At the same time, he asked for their love and support for his endeavor in starting his own family.Fans generously complied with his request and flooded the idol with messages of love and support on various social media platforms.
They said that Changmin was the gold standard in handling celebrity relationships because of his openness and his honesty with the fans which showed his respect and regard for them.
It can be recalled that another second gen idol who admitted to his relationship early this year was Super Junior's Kim Heechul.It can be recalled that Kim Heechul was the first Kpop idol to admit his relationship to TWICE's Momo at the beginning of the year.
While the pair refused to get into details of their relationship, both SM Entertainment (through Label SJ) and JYP Entertainment confirmed the happy news to jumpstart 2020.
While many idols were criticized for having a relationship, Heechul and Momo generally enjoyed the support of the public on their dating news.
Japanese fans, in particular, approved of Kim Heechul for their beloved Kyoto native Momo because of his open love for Japanese culture.
In an interview, Heechul admitted that he was afraid to tell fans about his relationship news because he was unsure of how they would react. However, when he decided to open up to them, he felt relieved that they were very accepting.
