Cobra Kai season 3 is happening but we won't see it airing on YouTube Premiere anymore. The series has finally found a new home after a long time, with the new installment coming on Netflix. The first two seasons will also be available on the streaming service later this year.
Recently, it was confirmed that Cobra Kai season 3 moved over to Netflix. As per CarterMatt, the announcement has something to do with YouTube wanting to get out of the scripted-content game and would've ended the third installment if it had stayed there.
The good thing is that this move allows the series to bring more stories in the future, possibly getting a fourth installment along the way. Netflix is also a great home for the series and has a lot of reasons to support it since there aren't too many shows with a completed season that has yet to air.
Cobra Kai season 3 has no official release date as of this writing, but Variety noted the premiere date will be announced at a later date. While waiting for the new installment, viewers can enjoy the first two seasons -- which were set to arrive later this year.
The Karate Kid sequel series is one of the few shows that deliver both modern and nostalgic feelings, which appeals to a large audience. It follows the grown-up versions of rivals Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence from the 1984 original movie.

Cobra Kai season 3 will also see Daniel heading to Okinawa -- the hometown of Mr. Miyagi. This is a place where they traveled together in The Karate Kid Part 2. In addition, it was hinted that the origins of both Miyagi's and Cobra Kai's martial arts philosophies will be revealed.
