Syfy previously announced the official release date of Wynonna Earp season 4. New episodes will be arriving on Sunday, July 26, with a new timeslot. It will continue airing until August 30 and then will go on a hiatus. Because of the current global health crisis, filming was forced to shut down.
Reportedly, Wynonna Earp season 4 will resume its production later this summer in Calgary. However, it should be noted that everything is still subject to change. Cast and crew could start filming again when the situation gets better.
There are still a lot of uncertainties at the moment. The health and safety of everyone remain to be the top priorities right now. When everything goes back to normal, then production can resume. We can expect the second half of the new installment arriving in early 2021.
The new season comes two years after the third installment, and also comes following the fan campaign to ensure the latest installment will happen. It can be recalled that there have been financial issues with IDW Entertainment that almost derailed the entire series. Good thing, the deal was eventually worked out.
Meanwhile, aside from the official release date announcement, the trailer of Wynonna Earp season 4 was also released. The clip featured everything, from meta moments to demon hunting. The new season comes with action-packed scenes, as well as more funny moments.
Some of the first images have also been released, featuring Wynonna, Doc, Nicole, and Waverly in action. Throughout the new season, we're going to see a whole new series of adventures. It would bring more exciting stories, as well as unexpected twists and turns.
Moreover, the synopsis of Wynonna Earp season 4 teased what's coming for the titular character. She needs to rescue everyone she loves and save the town of Purgatory. She must also take on her most diabolical, Earp-hating enemy -- and that's without the help of her trustworthy gun, Peacemaker.
Wynonna Earp season 4 cast members include Melanie Scrofano as the titular character, Dominique Provost-Chalkley as Waverly Earp, Tim Rozon as Doc Holliday, Katherine Barrell as Officer Nicole Haught, and Shamier Anderson as Deputy Marshal Xavier Dolls.
The series follows the titular character, the great-great-granddaughter of legendary lawman Wyatt Earp. Since she was the firstborn, she was cursed to hunt demons and other supernatural creatures in her town. She has to take them down before they could escape and cause chaos in the world.
