Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided that being senior royals is not for them anymore and officially stepped down from their roles at the end of March. The couple shared that they wish to focus on their family and charities while being “financially independent.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex briefly stayed in Canada before heading to Los Angeles, where they are currently living with their son Archie. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to make a fresh start in the US.
However, a new book called “Royals at War” claims that Prince Harry has been “secretly tortured” with his and Meghan Markle’s decision to move to Los Angeles. Royal authors Andy Tillett and Dylan Howard alleged that the Duke of Sussex is having a hard time adjusting to his life in the US.
"It was far from an ideal situation. Harry’s gone from feeling excited about the move to feeling secretly tortured,” the source said.
But an insider shared that Meghan Markle is trying her best to help Prince Harry while settling to their new life. The Duchess of Sussex is, reportedly, assuring her husband that he will eventually love their LA life “once things go back to normal.”
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a lot of hopes after their big move to the US. The couple was even speculated to be joining the Hollywood scene since the Duchess of Sussex was an actress before tying the knot with the prince in 2018.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also announced the name of their new foundation Archewell back in April. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared that they were inspired by the word “Arche” for their new foundation, which is also the name of their son.
Unfortunately for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, their LA plans came to a screeching halt due to the coronavirus outbreak. Royal editor of Daily Mirror Russell Myers said that their plans are "up in the air" at the moment. He also noted that Prince Harry “would be leaning on” Meghan Markle’s success since LA is a “foreign world” for him.
It was previously reported that while Meghan Markle is living her dream after they moved to the US, Prince Harry is “star struck” over their new surroundings. A lot of people are not convinced that the Duke of Sussex is cut out for the Hollywood celebrity lifestyle.
