Two Hollywood power couples are, reportedly, eyeing the sports teams in Miami and it has been creating tension between them. A tabloid alleged Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have been planning to own a team in Miami, same as Will Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith.

According to the Globe, the Smiths are competing with JLo and ARod on who between them will first own a sports team in the city. The tabloid claimed the "cash-rich" Will and Jada are currently on a hunt for a sports team that they can buy in Florida.

But there's a problem. Apparently, the Smiths are facing the wrath of Lopez and Rodriquez.

A source of the tabloid claimed Will and Jada have been scouting for potential sports acquisitions in several states but Florida is their top choice. The couple has, reportedly, already allotted $200 million for future acquisition.

Lopez and Rodriguez, on the other hand, had put in a bid to buy the New York Mets earlier this year, but the deal fell through. Globe alleged that this made the couple to turn their attention to Miami. They also found out that the Smiths were also eyeing to expand their venture in their territory.

Miami is particularly special to Alex and JLo. The MLB superstar grew up in the city.

The Globe insider also mentioned Lopez and Pinkett-Smith's past relationship. It claimed that the two actresses used to be close friends but they had a falling out a few years ago.

Gossip Cop has doubts about the Globe's story. It reached out to a close friend of the "On the Floor" singer, who confirmed that the Globe claim was false.

The publication added that the Hustlers actress and ARod haven't given up on their plan to own the Mets. The New York Post reported in May that the couple is taking another shot in closing a deal with the Mets. JLo and ARod are, reportedly, currently working closely with senior bankers at JPMorgan Chase for their new bid to buy the franchise after their first attempt wasn't a success.

As for Will and Jada Smith, Gossip Cop noted that there was no report that the couple has been planning to own a sports team in Miami or anywhere else. It is possible that the couple has been looking for new ventures but there was no news that it would be on a sports team.

Gossip Cop also noted that Globe has been notoriously reporting celebrity feuds over the years. In 2018 alone, it claimed that Will Smith and George Clooney were feuding

It alleged that the Aladdin actor was trash-talking Clooney because he was jealous of the Batman actor. A rep for Clooney, however, confirmed that there wasn't any animosity between the two actors.
