DAY6's Jae has recently drawn attention after speaking out about JYP Entertainment's alleged mistreatment and lack of promotions for his solo projects. The label has since responded to his claims.

According to a report by All Kpop, JYP issued a statement to debunk Jae's claims and said that the artists' sentiments were all part of a big misunderstanding. They assured fans that the matter has been resolved after having a long talk with Jae.

DAY6 Jae also issued his statement and apologized to the group's MyDay fandom for causing them to worry. Jae said that after talking with the company,  he realized that there were many misunderstandings. He explained that he did not want to cause a fuss and only made a post to express his frustration. He said that it was a personal matter between himself and the label and it should not have dragged the other members into the issue. He expressed his remorse to MyDay for causing them concern over his careless thoughts.

It can be recalled that DAY6 Jae made a series of posts calling out JYP Entertainment for their selective promotions. On Twitter, he said that JYP did not promote his Live from DIVE Studios videos and questioned why DAY6's Twitter did not repost his DIVE stuff when it should promote the activities of all members of the group.

Jae further said that even his podcasts on Facebook and his collaboration with 88rising were not shared by DAY6's social media accounts.

Jae said that he also developed content for his YouTube channel jaesix alone without any help from the company. He complained that he even had to beg for permission to run his channel. He revealed that after a while, JYP told him to quit his channel because it was running the company's image.

Jae said that this treatment was unlike how other members were treated because they get content, proper management, and investments for their work.

In response to his posts, DAY6 Jae received a lot of support from fans who said that they understood his frustration over the unfair treatment. Many applauded him for speaking out and calling out the company for playing favorites.

As a result, MyDays took it upon themselves to promote his pages Soundcloud and YouTube pages, as well as his solo content.Last May,  DAY6 suspended promotion schedules for their comeback The Book of Us: The Demon after more than one member was diagnosed with anxiety, SoMag News reported.
