Prince Harry was apparently feeling down when his older brother, Prince William, celebrated his birthday last June 21. The Duke of Sussex is, reportedly, still tormented by his "fractured family ties" and his brother's special day made it all the more unbearable, according to a source.

Speaking with Sunday Mirror, the source said that Prince Harry and Meghan are dealing with extreme tension amid their new life in Los Angeles away from the royal family. The Sussex pair has apparently grown more distant and introverted from the public because they are, allegedly, struggling with this rift.

It comes as new details from Meghan's lawsuit against the British tabloid press revealed that she felt she was unprotected by Kensington Palace. When she wanted to defend herself from the negative stories circulating during her pregnancy, Meghan told the court that she was silenced so it was her friends who spoke and defended her by staging an interview that has now become part of the lawsuit.

A relative from the Duchess of Sussex's side said that this legal battle is increasing the tension between the Sussexes. Prince Harry is, reportedly, in a lot of strain because of what's slowly coming out in the press again as the legal proceedings continue, which could hurt the royal family.

But this is not the first time someone has spoken out to say that Prince Harry and Meghan are "struggling" in Los Angeles. However, sources spoke to Entertainment Tonight in June to said that the couple's relationship remains stronger than ever

They are apparently relieved to have the pressure of royal life off their shoulders. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are using their time, amid the coronavirus pandemic, to devise strategies for their future projects with Archewell.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl also said in an interview that the relationship between Prince Harry and Prince William isn't as bad as what has been speculated. She said that the royal brothers have been keeping in touch since Prince Harry left London. They've done phone calls, video calls and even calls with their father, Prince Charles, especially when he got sick with COVID-19 in late March.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan have been working with their advocacies in Los Angeles. Though they still have no official platform to share their causes, Prince Harry and Meghan are getting enough coverage about their charity work from the social media pages of the organizations that they've helped in recent weeks.
