BTS has always been supporters of equality. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have consistently reminded their fans to love themselves because being who they are is already enough.

With racism being one of the biggest issues in the world, BTS made sure to support any campaigns against it. Recently, J-Hope showed his support for The Black Lives Matter Movement on Twitter. What made his post special is the fact that he did it in a very Hobi way.

J-Hope is a huge collector of Kaws, which is figurative characters created by American artist and designer Brian Donnelly. On July 5, the BTS rapper posted four photos on Twitter. One of the snaps is a black Kaws figure.

ARMYs then went into digging to know more about the item. That’s when they realized that it is a “TAKE” Companion Figures in support of the Black Lives Matter campaign. It is unknown if J-Hope purchased the Kaws figure himself, or it was gifted to him by the artist.

Last month, BTS’ official Twitter account showed support for the movement in a strong message. “We stand against racial discrimination. We condemn violence. You, I, and we all have the right to be respected. We will stand together,” it wrote.

The Black Lives Movement had been active for a long time but it was heavily highlighted in May when George Floyd died at the hands of police brutality.

George Floyd was just one of many black people who died and suffered in the hands of authorities. Many are convinced that the whole scenario had something to do with racism.

The 46-year-old black man died when his pleas that he couldn’t breathe were unheard. George Floyd was handcuffed and dropped on the ground after a grocery store employee suspected him for paying a counterfeit $20 note.

Despite cooperating with the cops, officer Derek Chauvin placed his knee on George’s neck for almost nine minutes that led to his demise. After George Floyd’s death on May 25, protesters, celebrities, influencers, and more then revived the Black Lives Matter movement.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that J-Hope showed his support through Kaws. The BTS rapper previously wore a shirt with a pink Kaws design, which was made for Breast Cancer Awareness.

As for gender equality, BTS has broken gender barriers multiple times. In fact, in one of their magazine interviews, Jungkook shared that a great style to him his “wearing anything you like, regardless of gender.”
