Back in October 2019, TXT celebrated Yeonjun’s birthday at BigHit’s headquarters, and they uploaded the fun event on YouTube. Since ARMYs are also fans of the boy group, they watched the video and was confused with one particular thing.

ARMYs spotted a huge portrait of Jimin on the wall and wondered why is it there? Where was it from? Why is it just a solo snap of the “Filter” singer? Where is the rest of the BTS members?

After waiting for nearly nine months, ARMYs finally got their answer. On June 30, Episode 106 of Run BTS! was aired, and Jimin’s mystery portrait was solved.

As it turned out, Jimin’s “Good Boy” portrait was the grand prize of the episode, in which Suga was hailed the winner. But instead of bringing the portrait back at his place, BTS decided to hang it in Big Hit Entertainment‘s artist lounge because it makes them happy.

What made the existence of the portrait unique is the fact that it wasn’t even supposed to be on the camera roll at all. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were tasked to create a DIY wardrobe in the previous episode, and they should model them. The boys also have to draw lots to know who will wear what.

Jimin got V and wore the latter’s DIY outfit. Suga got himself, Jin got J-Hope, J-Hope got Jungkook, V got Jimin, RM got himself, and Jungkook got Jin. The BTS boys changed to their DIY outfits and took each other’s photographs. The members were also the ones who picked the best photo of each of them.

While the other boys were busy choosing Jungkook’s best photo, the Golden Maknae took a snap of Jimin, which automatically prompted on the screen. The rest of the members laughed at the photo with Suga saying that Jimin looked like a “rookie actor.”

Since BTS loved it so much, the staff decided to make it the grand prize for their DIY photoshoot. After it was revealed, the boys couldn’t stop laughing at it. The staff then explained that it was exactly the reason why Jimin’s “Good Boy” portrait was the grand prize because of the happiness that it gives to people.

J-Hope, being the ray of sunshine that he is, wanted to spread the happiness and suggested that Jimin’s portrait should be hung in the artists’ lounge — and that’s how it appeared on TXT Yeonjun’s birthday video.

Case closed. On to the next BTS mystery!
