After Kanye West announced his plan to run for US President, Taylor Swift's fans want her to do the same. Swifties made a strong call for the pop giant to run for the top US office in the coming election to face her number one rival in the poll.

West tweeted on Sunday that he would run for office. Although Kim Kardashian's husband didn't reveal if he aimed to join the election this year or in 2024, he ended his announcement with the hashtag #2020VISION.

Although West's tweet was met buy a torrent of criticism, fans of the 30-year-old Swift rallied behind her on social media, begging the hitmaker, who has been at odds with the rapper for over a decade, to join the presidential election to go against West, who is also a fashion mogul, Billboard noted.

One fan suggested that the singer-songwriter should run for president, while Selena Gomez might be a good pick for the vice-presidential seat. Another added that Joe Biden might choose the "Love Story" singer as his vice president so that they could defeat Donald Trump and the Yeezy designer.

According to Celebrity Insider, Swift and West's feud started when he went up the stage and interrupted her acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. The fight continued and even got worse in 2016 when Ye dropped his Famous music video, where he featured her naked wax figure lying next to him in bed, along with his wife and other artists.

Their high-profile quarrel didn't even end there. The clash also hit the headlines when they fought about a song lyric. Kim Kardashian recorded a video of her husband asking Swift to give him permission about a song.

However, Kanye West decide to change the line and said, "b****," which made the Cats actress angrier. Kim Kardashian uploaded the said clip to her Snapchat account to show everyone that Taylor Swift had agreed to the said lyrics.

Later, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star called Swift a "snake," using several emojis on Twitter. From here, Joe Alwyn's girlfriend used the snake as a theme of her Reputation album, which seemed to be a subtle mocking if the couple.

Meanwhile, it looks like Swifties' desire for Swift to run for US President may never happen. According to US law, a president must be at least 35 years old to take office, but Swift is only 30. Kanye West, meanwhile,  is already the ripe old age of 43.
