Due to several factors such as depression, enforced isolation and quarantine, economy and financial problems, loneliness, and fears, mental health experts are reminding people how important it is to take care of one person's mental health during this pandemic. An effective way to do that is by eating this yellow, mushy, sweet, and tasty fruit-- the banana.

One of the most important naturally-produced chemicals that can make a person happy and be able to fight off depression and negativity is serotonin. Though bananas only have a very small amount of serotonin in it, this fruit has an adequate amount of vitamin B6, which promotes the increase of production of this happy hormone in the brain. This vitamin also boosts the ability of the body to maximize this chemical big time.

Given this reason, a diet graced by a touch of this food can already be of great help if you want to feel emotionally better this pandemic, as revealed by Very Well Mind. Aside from eating this banana as is, here are some of the desserts you may also share in your table with your family.

FRENCH TOAST TOPPED WITH NUT CRUMBLE, BANANA, AND YOGHURT

This dish might be very pleasing and a total yum, but know that making this dish is very easy. You only have to prepare a few ingredients: wheat bread, yogurt, milk, egg, sugar, salt, nuts, and banana.

To prepare your French toast, the first thing you should do is to whisk your eggs, sugar, salt, and milk altogether until fully incorporated. After doing so, dip your wheat bread into this mixture for a few seconds. Fry your toast in butter until both of the sides have turned to golden brown.

Put your toast on a plate. Complete your meal but topping it with yogurt, banana, and nuts. Serve to your family right away.

TWO-INGREDIENT BANANA PANCAKES

For this dish, you only got to have 2 ingredients. These are one ripe banana and two eggs.

First, you have to mash your banana using a potato masher or just by using a fork. Add your two eggs. Mix everything well.

Cook the mixture in a pan just like what you do with your ordinary pancakes. Make sure to keep everything thin and small. After cooking, add a bit of nut, fruits, and more banana on top if you want. Best served with milk or coffee.

Though this dish is far from your ordinary pancakes, it still guaranteed to be a total yum with a custard-like texture. More like big thick crepes, as described by The Kitchn
