Controversies continued to hound AOA even after the departure of leader Jimin from the group following allegations of bullying from former member Mina.
In a recent report, fans became worried about former member Youkyung after she posted an ambiguous message on her social media account that hinted that she may have also experienced bullying at the hands of Jimin.
In a new post, Youkyung apologized to fans for making them worried about her post and clarified what she meant.Youkyung said that she wrote the post because she was angered and frustrated when old memories came back to her.She did not name any names in her new post but she acknowledged that she also went through some difficulties of her own.
She said that because she was consumed by her own challenges, she was not able to see that someone else was suffering through the same situation.She assured fans that she is okay now, thanks the countless voices who continue to cheer her on. She also expressed appreciation to the people who have given her love through her dark times.Youkyung also appealed to fans to refrain from saying any more hurtful words, and again thanked her supporters for all of their love and concern.
Meanwhile, fans are continuing to go through previous footage of AOA and tried to find more evidence of Jimin's alleged bullying.
In one of the clips from the 4 Things Show, one of ChoA's statements became controversial because after saying how Jimin was a great leader and took care of all the members, she suddenly joked that if she did not say those things, she would get hit by Jimin.
The statement seemed like a joke at the time but after the bullying scandal came to light, fans are finding new meaning in ChoA's statement. They also noticed that ChoA followed all the other members of AOA on social media except for Jimin, which fueled their doubts about the nature of their relationship.
ChoA was one of the first members to leave the group in 2017 after citing that her severe insomnia rendered her incapable of continuing as a member of AOA.It can be recalled last week that Mina made several lengthy posts alleging that she was bullied by Jimin during the 10 years she was with AOA. She said that Jimin's harsh treatment pushed her to commit suicide several times. Mina left the group last year and signed with Woori Actors to pursue a career in acting.
