Dogs are such wonderful souls. They are always ready to give you kisses and give you lots of love every time. They always open their hearts without any second thoughts. They live their best every day, enjoying every second of it.

Unfortunately, like humans, dogs can be vulnerable to sickness as well. They can experience vomiting, constipation, mange, coughing, and other health issues too. And for hose who love them the most, seeing them not feeling okay can be very heartbreaking.

But with what our world is experiencing nowadays due to COVID, going out to visit the vet isn't that safe anymore. So it is still better to stay inside the house no matter what happens, except for emergency cases.

Good thing there are several home remedies you can do once your furkid starts to feel sick. Here are a few:

VOMITING

When your pooch experience vomiting, it is important to keep in mind to not give your best friend food for at least 12 hours if your pet is a puppy, and 24 hours if it is already a full-grown dog. By doing so, you are giving your dog's stomach lining enough time to settle down, which will help keep your furbaby from vomiting again.

Other things you can do to cure your dog's vomiting is to give your pooch coconut water and greek yogurt. You can also give him some ginger. You can do that by adding a thin layer of honey in a piece of bread. Put a bit of ginger on top of the honey. Give it to your dog. This will surely make your dog feel better the soonest.

CONSTIPATION

There are several reasons dogs suffer from constipation. Some of those reasons are lack of exercise, abscessed or blocked anal sacs, and too little fiber in their diet, as shared by WebMD

To cure them of constipation, it is better to provide them foods that are rich in fiber. Some of these foods include bran, olive oil, milk, ginger, pumpkin, aloe vera, and yogurt.

COUGH

To help your pooch breathe, steam inhalation is one of the best things to consider. You can do that by taking your dog into your bathroom and turning on a hot shower. Let the steam build up and allow your dog to breathe it in for 15 to 20 minutes twice a day, as explained by VCA Hospitals. Giving your dog coconut oil, honey, probiotics and chicken soup can do the trick as well.
