Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have always been vocal to subjects that they are passionate about. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust to discuss equal rights, and the footage was recently released.

However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle faced backlash for repeatedly “lecturing” the public. TalkRadio's host Dan Wootton wondered why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were doing a sermon about the Commonwealth when the prince benefitted from it growing up.

Editor of Spiked Online Brendan O'Neil called the show, where he and Dan Wootton agreed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were two very privileged individuals. They then said that the public has had enough of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, especially after they have decided to quit royal life and moved to the US to make a fresh start.

"Meghan and Harry are lecturing us on history, which most of us having nothing to do with. It is simply, absolutely perverse.” Brendan O'Neil said.

Protesters, celebrities, influencers, and more have been supporting the Black Lives Matter movement following the death of George Floyd in the hands of police officers on May 25. The 46-year-old black man died when his pleas that he couldn’t breathe were unheard. Despite cooperating with the cops, officer Derek Chauvin placed his knee on George’s neck that led to his demise.

Meghan Markle shared her dismay over the death of George Floyd due to racial divisions. The wife of Prince Harry then urged everyone to do something to correct this matter. The Duchess of Sussex said in the frank online conversation that it’s “not enough to just be a bystander.”

George Floyd was just one of many black people who died and suffered in the hands of police. Many are convinced that the whole scenario had something to do with racism and it caused a riot in the US. What started to be a protest on how cops mishandled the situation, quickly became chaotic when the protest descends into looting and destructive mayhem.

On June 1, The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, which counts Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as its president and vice-president, showed support to the Black Lives Matter campaign by sharing a powerful message on social media.

The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust tweeted that young people’s voices are very important in fighting against injustice and racism, which had been going on for a very long time all around the world.
