iKON's Junhoe and Jinhwan were injured after getting in a car accident along Namhae national highway on June 13.

Junhoe and Jinhwan were, reportedly, onboard a van headed towards Changhea-myeon from Sacheon when the vehicle slid on the freeway and hit the roadside walls, Kpopstarz reported.

iKON's Junhoe and Jinhwan, as well as the van's driver, suffered minor injuries and were rushed to the nearest hospital.

According to the Namhae Police Station, they are currently investigating the cause of the accident and they are also looking into the possibility of drunk driving on the part of the driver.

Authorities said that while the slippery roads could have caused the accident, they are also looking into reports that the driver had been drinking before driving the two artists to their destination.

As fans posted messages of concern for the iKON members, they shifted their ire to YG Entertainment for its seeming lack of concern about the welfare of Junhoe and Jinhwan.

iKONICs called out the label for its lack of statement even a day after the accident. Fans criticized the agency for failing to provide a status update about the artists, and its seeming lack of urgency amid the possibility that the iKON members were being transported by a drunk driver. On Twitter, fans trended the hashtag #YGProtectiKON to prod YG into action, Soompi reported.

According to fans, even though Junhoe and Jinhwan's injuries were mild, the label should still inform the fans about their condition to ease their worries. They said that the label should be in a frenzy right now over the possible extent of the accident, instead of relaxing.

Fans have become even more protective of iKON after the group suffered through many challenges last year.

It can be recalled that iKON lost its leader B.I. last year after he was accused of attempting to buy and use drugs in 2016. Following the scandal, B.I opted to leave iKON to protect his members and terminated his exclusive contract with YG Entertainment.

After being investigated by police, B.I was cleared of drug use after he was tested for illegal substances by Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency, Soompi reported.

iKON made their first comeback with six members last February i DECIDE, where some of the tracks still bore traces of B.I's works. B.I is also, reportedly, planning to make a comeback as a solo artist, which fans are already looking forward to.
