Absentia season 3 is coming this week on Amazon Prime Video and many were delighted with its arrival. The Stana Katic-led series has been off-air for more than a year and there are a lot of things to be excited about here. The cast of the series also teased where the story is heading moving forward.
In a video via the official Twitter account of the series, Stana Katic, Neil Jackson, Patrick Heusinger, and other cast members teased what lies ahead in Absentia season 3. Emily Bryne (Katic) is still recovering from everything that happened in the second season.
Everyone tries to move forward and wants to have a fresh start, but the ghosts from the past still remain. Emily and others have to face these, while also trying to deal with the new issues arising. Things won't be easy for all of them as more problems are coming down the road.
Absentia season 3 follows the dramatic events that transpired in the season 2 finale. Emily serves out the remaining days of her FBI suspension while working hard to be the best mother to Flynn (Patrick McAuley). But then, everything is upended after an international criminal case hits close to home.
It threatens the family Emily has been trying to hold on together. She and her husband Special Agent Nick Durand (Patrick Heusinger) intervene, but it puts Nick's life in danger. After a sequence of deadly events, she has to race against time to save her husband.
But in the process, Emily realized that there's a larger conspiracy beyond that. Her demands from the FBI to save Nick have been met with resistance. So, she tried to take matters into her own hands and put a risky and dangerous plan in action.
Eventually, she comes face-to-face with the man who could lead her to Nick, Colin Dawkins (Geoff Bell). With the help of her former FBI instructor, Rowena Kincade (Josette Simon), she heads off with Special Agent Cal Isaac (Matthew Le Nevez) in pursuit.
Emily's journey in Absentia season 3 takes her far from Boston. It would test her like never before; forcing her to trust and love again. And it the end, she will finally realize her true place in the world after everything she's been through.
There are a lot of exciting stories coming in the new installment. This is an opportunity for Emily to prove herself to everyone what she's capable of. Since there are also new mysteries coming, we could expect some twists and turns.
Absentia season 3 premieres on Friday night, July 17, on Amazon Prime Video.
