Prince Harry and Prince William had always been close and they know each other very well. When Kate Middleton came into the future King’s life, the younger prince bonded with her as well.
Most people are aware of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s love story. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge didn’t have the traditional royal courtship as Kate was a commoner.
Prince William and Kate Middleton met each other in 2001 when they both attended St. Andrews University. The pair struck up a friendship but the romance was not on their minds at the time because the gorgeous brunette was in a romantic relationship with an older student.
The older son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana decided to take their friendship to the next level when Kate Middleton broke up with her boyfriend. The couple began dating in 2003. Then, five years into their relationship, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who were in their mid-twenties, were pressured by the media to get engaged. However, the prince was not ready to settle down at the time.
In 2010, Prince William finally proposed to Kate Middleton. Before their wedding in 2011, Prince Harry admitted that he didn’t expect his brother would ever get married.
“We all thought that it was never going to happen for him… I think he’s done the right thing. He’s waited, and he’s done it when he feels right, and it’s a huge step,” Prince Harry said.
Now, Prince William and Kate Middleton had been married for almost a decade. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge share three beautiful children, namely: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
As for Prince Harry, he has a family of his own after tying the knot with Meghan Markle in 2018. Unfortunately, the Duke of Sussex reportedly didn’t feel that Prince William supported his decision.
It was, previously, reported that Prince William voiced his concerns before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding regarding how fast his brother and the former actress’s relationship was going. While the Duke of Cambridge only meant well when he advised Prince Harry to slow things down, the Duke of Sussex, reportedly, didn’t take it well as he saw it as a criticism.
According to journalists Dylan Howard and Andy Tillett, it wasn’t just Prince William who urged Prince Harry to take things slowly. They claimed in their book called “Royals at War: The Untold Story of Harry and Meghan’s Shocking Split with the House of Windsor” that Kate Middleton also said the same thing to the Duke of Sussex and asked him if Meghan was the “right one.”
