Kate Middleton and Prince William's wedding in 2011 was a much-awaited royal event. Since their early dating years, many were already waiting for them to tie the knot. But, it took almost a decade before it happened.

Reports said that their wedding was not as lavish as what Princess Diana and Prince Charles had. Nevertheless, it was still a huge and expensive royal event, considering that they are the future King and Queen Consort of the British Monarchy.

Over 23 million individuals across the globe, reportedly, "tuned in" to witness the event. However, about 2,000 guests "crammed in" at Westminster Abbey to witness the official ceremony, according to Good Housekeeping.

Aside from the surprising details and facts of Kate Middleton and Prince William's wedding, another surprising thing has been uncovered about that day. As reported, the Duchess of Cambridge's family gave their "secret support" to Kate a few moments before the wedding began, the Daily Express reported.

A lip-reading expert, reportedly, revealed that the Duchess' father, Michael Middleton, had a lot to say to her daughter hours before the wedding. The same is also said to be true to her sister, Pippa Middleton.

As claimed, the Duchess' father "approached" her for "reassurance." He, reportedly, asked his daughter if she is "okay." This, then, happened again when they entered Westminster Abbey, the expert said.

In the case of Kate's sister, she, reportedly, "lent" her some "words of encouragement." Pippa told her sister that she looks "amazing" on her wedding day, the expert revealed.

The support given by her family members was not surprising. The publication said that Kate Middleton has always had a close relationship with her family, especially her younger sister.

Some royal analysts, reportedly, attested that the Middleton siblings have been always "competitive." However, they are not "competing" against each other.

Also, other publications, reportedly, shared a similar notion that Kate and Pippa have had an "extremely close" relationship since they were kids. The Duchess of Cambridge even broke traditions for her sister when she invited Pippa to her bridal shower, the same publication said.

These days, though, Kate Middleton has not, reportedly, seen her family yet due to the COVID-19 crisis. She, previously, revealed that she misses her family in one of her engagements.

This is, reportedly, why some publications have since speculated that the Cambridge family might spend their summer break with the Middletons in Bucklebury. While this has remained unconfirmed, there is, reportedly, a huge possibility that they might, if not in Kensington Palace.
