Johnny Depp is, reportedly, preparing for his much-awaited return to the big screen amidst his going messy court battle with his former wife, Amber Heard. Rumors claim that the Lone Ranger actor has his eyes set on Margot Robbie for his comeback movie.

According to New Idea, Depp is hoping that Robbie will be his "ticket" back into the Hollywood A-list circle. The actor is, allegedly, doing everything he could to convince the Pirates of the Caribbean executives to cast the actress in the upcoming sequel.

A source of the tabloid claimed Depp showered the Bombshell actress with lavish gifts in the hopes that she will also convince her bosses to cast her in the Pirates of the Caribbean project. It is worthy to note that Robbie has already been cast in a female-centric version of the franchise.

Walt Disney Pictures announced, last month, that it will be releasing a female-centric Pirates Of The Caribbean and the Australian actress was picked to play the lead role. The film studio, however, clarified that the actress' upcoming version is not a sequel of the Depp-starred franchise which means there will be no Jack Sparrow in Margot's movie.

Though both Johnny Depp and Margot Robbie's movies will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the two movies will not be connected. The actress' version will have an entirely new storyline and set of characters.

This made it more unlikely that the two would be working in a movie soon. Gossip Cop added Robbie has a packed work schedule at the moment. Aside from the Pirates spin-off, Robbie is also set to work on at least four other movies.

She will star in the live-action feature film based on the popular children's toy Barbie and in the post-World War II film Ruin. She will also appear in upcoming DC movies Gotham City Sirens and the still-untitled Joker/Harley Quinn film.

Moreover, it is hard to believe that Depp needs Robbie for his Hollywood comeback. Regardless of how turbulent this year has been for the actor, he would remain as one of Hollywood's A-list stars. In addition, based on how his court proceedings against Heard is going, Depp doesn't seem to need a "ticket" for his comeback.

Gossip Cop also mentioned that New Idea is not a reliable source of accurate information when it comes to Robbie. Earlier this year, the tabloid claimed that the Australian actress requested not to be seated next to her Once Upon A Time In Hollywood co-star Brad Pitt at the Golden Globes ceremony.

It alleged that there was a tension between the two. Gossip Cop, however, dismissed the story, stressing there was no tension between Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie, and the latter did not make such a request.
