Princess Beatrice is, reportedly, changing her name after getting married to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on July 17, 2020, at Windsor Castle. Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter is going to drop "York" and her royal name will now officially be styled as HRH Princess Beatrice.

Royal expert Marlene Koenig explained to Hello that Princess Beatrice will no longer be using "Princess of York" since she's now a married woman.  Traditionally, when British royal princesses get married, they drop their family name and retain the name of their husband.

So, Princess Beatrice's name will be styled without the title of her father, Prince Andrew, the Duke of York. Her younger sister, Princess Eugenie, also dropped the York name when she married Jack Brooksbank in 2018.

Other than HRH Princess Beatrice, the newly-married royal may also be called Mrs. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. In the same way, Princess Eugenie may also be publicly addressed as HRH Princess Eugenie, Mrs. Jack Brooksbank.

Upon her marriage to an Italian nobleman, Princess Beatrice will also inherit the title of countess or nobile donna, the Italian for "noble woman." Edo is the son of Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi and will carry on the title for the next generation. By virtue of this, his wife will be known as a countess in Italy. Their children will also automatically inherit the titles when the right time comes.

Princess Beatrice and Edo's secret wedding ceremony was carried out with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, as guests. Buckingham Palace confirmed that the wedding followed the guidelines and restrictions on gathering, as set by the U.K. government amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The couple has been long-time family friends before they started dating in October 2018. Prior to their romance, Princess Beatrice was still healing from a long-term relationship while Edo just ended his relationship with Dara Huang, the mother of his son, Christopher.

Princess Beatrice and Edo announced their engagement nearly a year after they started dating, in September 2019. They were supposed to marry in London on May 29 but had to cancel the event due to pandemic.

Reports stated that Princess Beatrice's father was at the wedding ceremony as well. It is believed that Prince Andrew, who has been laying low from the public due to his legal controversies, finally saw his mother and father in person again after months of isolation due to the coronavirus.
